Osmotic pressure

Why does a high osmotic pressure means a low molecular weight.

Thanks.

Med school is already busy busy busy!  I'm not sure what this question is in reference to, since I haven't heard this connection be made before.  Osmotic pressure is equal to MRT, where M is the molarity of the solution, R is the universal gas constant, and T is the temperature of the solution.  Thus, molecular weight doesn't show up in the equation.

If this comes from a particular question, feel free to post that question here directly.
