Breaks on MCAT

Hi All,

I am practicing full-length exam. Instead of 10 mins break continuously, the monitor tells "5 mins remaining", so that I have to press OK before the timer keeps going. But, I heard that in real MCAT, the timer for the 10 mins break will keep going. What is happening  here? (giving the advantage for us to have more breaks during practice?)

Does anyone have the same experience?

Thanks

You are correct that this happens on the Kaplan practice tests -- where you have to choose to keep going.  On the actual MCAT, they'll warn you that you have 1/2-time and 5 minutes remaining, but the timer won't stop.  Once you start the test, everything just keeps going!
